We cover the whole UK, from big cities to small villages. Tell us where and when your event is, and we'll come back with magicians who are free on your date and a quote that includes travel. You'll find town pages below, but if your area isn't listed, don't worry. Pop us a message through the quote form anyway.
What 'local' really means for travel costs
Most magicians will travel a fair distance, and many work across the whole country. Travel is usually built into the quote, so a performer based nearby can sometimes be a bit cheaper, but not always. A great performer an hour away can still be better value than an average one round the corner.
So it's worth weighing up. For a long booking, such as a full wedding day, the travel cost is a small part of the total. For a short one, it matters more. And if the venue's remote or the event finishes late, it's worth asking whether accommodation is needed. Our price guide explains what goes into a quote.
How to check a magician is right for your area and venue
Ask whether they've performed at venues like yours. A country house wedding, a hotel conference suite and a village hall party are very different rooms, and an experienced performer adapts. You don't need someone who's been to your exact venue, just someone who's comfortable in that kind of space.
Check practical things too: parking, load-in, where they can get changed, and whether the venue needs insurance details in advance. And think about the crowd. A close-up magician suits mingling guests anywhere, while a stage magician needs a room set up for a show.
Booking tips
Book early for summer weekends and December, as those dates go first. Have your venue, timings and rough guest numbers ready, and mention if your date's flexible. It makes a real difference to choice.
And get everything in writing: date, times, fee and cancellation terms. You can browse all our magicians or read the FAQ if you've got more questions.
