Tell us about your celebration and we'll come back with magicians who are available and a quote including travel.
Waterfront and city-centre events
On Leeds Dock, the Royal Armouries hosts weddings, awards dinners and conferences in New Dock Hall and smaller suites. It's a big venue, and big rooms need entertainment that reaches everybody.
For large corporate dinners, a team of two magicians working different sides of the room means every table gets a visit between courses. Adding a short stage set before the awards gives the night a shared moment. With a museum full of arms and armour next door, there's no shortage of conversation starters either.
Stately homes and country-house hotels
Between Leeds and Harrogate, Harewood House hosts weddings in its Grade I listed rooms and marquees on its lawns. South of the city, Oulton Hall in Rothwell is a country-house hotel set in parkland with suites for receptions of different sizes.
Historic houses sometimes limit dancing or music in their state rooms. Magic is a good fit for these spaces, because it's quiet, personal and needs no amplification. Save the band for the marquee and let the magic happen in the grand rooms during drinks and dinner.
Alternative Leeds weddings
For something less traditional, Left Bank Leeds, a Grade II* listed former church in the Hyde Park area, hosts weddings alongside arts and community events. Couples who choose venues like this often want entertainment that feels relaxed and personal rather than formal.
Close-up magic suits that well. A magician can chat with guests, borrow their own items and keep things light. Leeds also has a large student and graduate population, so if your guests are a younger crowd, ask about modern, street-style magic.
Leeds weddings are also popular in the countryside to the north, around Wetherby, Otley and Ilkley, where barns and country hotels make the most of the views. The same approach applies: relaxed magic on the lawn, then table visits once everyone sits down to eat.
Office parties and nights out in Leeds city centre
Leeds is home to plenty of big employers in finance, law and retail, and Christmas party season here is busy. Hotels, bars and restaurants around City Square, Call Lane and Wellington Place host everything from team drinks to full company dinners.
For a team night in a private room, an hour of close-up magic before food is a cracking icebreaker, especially if your team's mostly new or hybrid and people don't see each other much. For a large dinner, add a short after-dinner set so everyone shares the same laugh.
Book early for December Fridays. Seriously, they go fast.
