From Regency palaces to seafront hotels and a racecourse up on the Downs, there's a venue here for every style of event. Give us the details and we'll reply with who's available and a quote.
The Royal Pavilion and its rules
The Royal Pavilion hires out rooms for evening receptions, dinners and civil ceremonies, including the spectacular Banqueting Room. One thing couples don't always realise: live bands and dancing aren't allowed there.
That's exactly where close-up magic comes into its own. It's quiet, it needs no space or power, and it gives guests something brilliant to talk about over dinner when a dance floor isn't an option.
It's worth knowing that ceremonies there are run by the local register office, so timings can be fixed. We'll plan the magic around them.
Seafront hotels and conferences
Brighton's a big conference town, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is one of the largest residential conference venues in the South, with event spaces for everything from small meetings to huge dinners. The Grand, a short walk along the seafront, hosts weddings and events in a classic Victorian setting.
At a conference dinner, table-to-table magic between courses gets delegates chatting to people they haven't met yet. If there's a stage and a mic, a mind reading set after dinner works well too.
Seafront venues also host plenty of wedding receptions, with guests spilling out for photos on the promenade. A magician keeps those left inside happily occupied until everyone's back.
Brighton magician for weddings, Brighton style
Weddings here are often a bit less traditional, with relaxed receptions, quirky venues and couples who want their guests to have fun. A magician with a cheeky, personable style fits right in.
Same-sex weddings, small elopements and big family celebrations all come our way from Brighton. Whatever shape your day takes, we'll find a magician who suits you and your guests.
Tell us a bit about you both when you enquire, like how you met or what you're into. It helps us suggest someone whose humour matches yours.
Up on the Downs
Brighton Racecourse, on the hill above Kemp Town, hosts weddings, conferences and parties, with views over the Sussex countryside and out to sea. It's a good choice for bigger events, and there's plenty of parking, which in Brighton is rare.
In larger function rooms, a roaming magician keeps the reception sociable while you wait to be called through for dinner.
It's a breezy spot too, as you'd expect on a hill by the sea. Close-up magic copes fine indoors or out, but on a windy day we'd keep the cards inside.
Hen dos, Pride and the practical bits
Parking in central Brighton is limited and pricey, so we check unloading arrangements with seafront venues in advance. Brighton Pride weekend in summer and the busiest beach days slow everything down, and we allow for it.
Brighton crowds are lively and up for a laugh, so a magician with plenty of personality tends to go down best. Tell us about your guests and we'll pick accordingly.
Brighton's a classic spot for hen parties and big birthday weekends. A magician at a private dinner or a pre-drinks session is a fun, different addition.
Close-up magic works in a restaurant private room, a rented house or a hotel suite. All we need is a rough time and the number of people, and we'll do the rest.
