Magicians across the UK

Corporate magician for dinners, conferences and exhibitions

A corporate magician gives your guests something to talk about besides work. At a networking evening or awards dinner, close-up magic breaks the ice between people from different teams, companies and countries, and gives everyone a shared story to take back to the office.

We book magicians for business events of every size across the UK, from small client lunches to large conferences. Tell us what the event is for and who's coming, and we'll suggest magicians who suit the room.

Where magic fits in a business event

Drinks receptions and networking sessions are the natural home for walk-around magic. It's a cracking icebreaker. Guests who don't know each other suddenly have something in common, and a skilled magician can gently draw quieter people into the group.

At seated dinners, table magic between courses keeps the room lively without interrupting the running order. At awards nights and conferences, a short stage set can open the evening or fill the gap while the room is turned around.

Magic on an exhibition stand

At a trade show, a magician can stop people walking past your stand. Performing beside your display, they gather a small crowd, hold its attention for a few minutes, then hand the audience over to your team.

It works best when the magician knows your key message. Some can work your logo, product name or a simple line about your service into a routine, which is far more memorable than a leaflet. Agree beforehand how the hand-over to your sales staff will happen.

Mix and mingle, then table magic

A popular format combines both styles: guests are entertained during the welcome drinks, then the magician visits each table once everyone is seated.

That's how Lewis Joss, a Member of The Magic Circle and one of our magicians, was booked for an end of year ball at Cranfield University. Corporate client Ganesh Singh called it “an excellent decision” and added that “Lewis was absolutely brilliant”.

Choosing a corporate magician

Look for experience with professional audiences: someone who knows when to be cheeky and when to stay polished, and who is at ease around senior staff and clients. Ask to see footage of them at a business event.

Check the practical points early, including public liability insurance (most venues and many companies require it), dress code, arrival time and any security passes or venue inductions. If many of your guests are international visitors, say so, as visual magic that relies less on language will land best.

Planning and paperwork

Lots of businesses need a written quote before anything can be signed off, and some need a new supplier set up before a purchase order can be raised. Let us know your process when you enquire so nothing holds up the booking.

Give the magician a contact for the day, a timing sheet and a note of any subjects to steer clear of. If your event is being filmed or photographed for marketing, mention that in advance too.

The entertainment provided by Jamie and Lewis at our event was absolutely fantastic. I received nothing but positive feedback from our guests. For some guests, it was the highlight of the event! Both the close up magic and stage show was enjoyable and high quality. The souvenirs were a brilliant touch and I’m glad that I got to keep a playing card from a trick that was performed to myself.…

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a corporate magician cost?

For a typical two to three hour corporate booking, UK magicians usually charge somewhere between £500 and £1,200. All-day trade shows, December dates and longer travel all affect the price, so every quote is worked out for your event.

Can the magician include our brand or product?

Often, yes. Simple personalisation, such as your business card or logo appearing somewhere impossible, is common. More involved bespoke routines take time to prepare, so ask early.

Will the magic suit a professional audience?

Yes. Corporate magicians keep their material clean and good-natured and match the tone of your event. If there are topics to avoid, tell us and we'll pass it on.

Is magic a good idea at a conference?

It works well in breaks and at the evening dinner, when delegates are mixing. A short stage set can also lift the energy after a long run of talks.

Can you work with our purchase order process?

Tell us what you need, such as a written quote, supplier forms or a purchase order number, when you enquire. Your terms are confirmed in your booking confirmation.
